Mission 4: Italy |
Mission 4 is relatively
simple in terms of obstacles. The level is very linear and requires
no timed jumps, but it does required timed falling if you're playing
with a friend. Your only worry here is the annoying
gladiators. They can take more damage than previous enemies and
throw unlimited spears. Use either the Lee brothers or
Chin. If you can pull off the double cyclone kick, you will deal
massive damage. But be careful not to attempt the maneuver if
enemies are far away because you're likely to get hit by the
gladiators' spears. Avoid using Ranzou since he is easily hurt
and doesn't deal much damage.
Chin can't attack on both
sides like the Lee brothers can with their cyclone kick. When using Chin,
keep both enemies on one side and use punches to defeat them quickly.
You can also use his leaping double kick attack if you need to knock
some opponents away.
The gladiators, much like
Daby, have unlimited throwing spears. When they are at a distance they
will hurl tons of spears at you. Keep within close quarters to
prevent this, and move up or down to dodge the projectiles. Do not
try to jump over them.
Continue defeating enemies and do not worry about progressing right.
After the enemies stop approaching, go
to the edge on the right and drop down. If two people are
playing, it's a little more difficult. You will both need to walk
over the edge at the same time. If you die, do not worry! Simply
continue forward and attempt to finish the mission with your remaining
characters (you should still have three). If
you get a game over screen, enter the continue code as much as needed.
You won't need it during the first game over screen though.
Chin is still the best
fighter to use once you are inside the building. His punches can kill
enemies after knocking them down only once. Make sure to dodge
incoming jump
kicks.
If you're playing with a
friend, use the Lee brothers to perform the powerful Double Cyclone
Kick and take out massive amounts of enemies. If for some reason
your main character is low on health by this point, go ahead and
select Ranzou, by try to use his sword and flying attacks. His
kick is slow and deals little damage.
After you take out all the
enemies, the music will change and Roney Urquidez will appear. He
fights just like Jim, but he's much tougher. First, the don'ts: Don't stand
in front of him. Don't attempt to punch or kick him. Now,
the dos: select
Billy and/or Jimmy and pull out the nunchucks. Stand above or below
him and let him walk toward you. Avoid his flying knee attack.
When he gets close, whack him with a weapon, then quickly move above or below
him. Rinse and repeat. Do not stand in front of him after he gets back up.
If you are playing by
yourself, Billy's nunchucks alone will not be enough to finish the big guy
off. Select Chin and his Iron Claw if he has a good amount of energy
left. If not, select Ranzou (finally), but do not use the shuriken.
They are relatively weak. Instead, his flying attacks will fare
better against Roney.
