Double Dragon Characters
NES/Game Boy/Master System versions

This is a list of all the characters featured in the NES/Famicom/SMS versions of Double Dragon.  This list also applies with the Game Boy version, since all the enemies are the same in that version except Jimmy, who is missing in the GB version (the GB version ends after defeating Willy).  Here's the list.
Note: All mugshots are taken from the NES/Famicom version's VS. Mode, unless otherwise noted.

BILLY LEE
Height: 5'10".  Weight: 165 lbs.  The hero of our story.  He began his martial arts training at age 12 and became a Kung Fu Sou-Setsu-Ken master at age 20.
 

JIMMY LEE
Height: 5'10".  Weight: 170 lbs.  Billy's twin brother, who is also a Sou-Setsu-Ken master.  He is secretly a member of the Black Warriors.
NOTE: This fact does not apply in the Game Boy version or the original arcade version.  The latter is because he is the second player and the former is because he is missing in the GB version.
 

MARIAN
Billy Lee's girlfriend.  She is held hostage by the Black Warriors.
NOTE: Mugshot taken from GB version's ending.
 

WILLIAMS
Height: 5'8".  Weight: 167 lbs.  Has a nasty right and left punch.  He is very handy with a knife or a bat.
 

ROPER
Height: 5'8".  Weight: 175 lbs.  Has a strong jump kick.  He likes to throw oil drums, rocks and cardboard boxes.
 

LINDA
Height: 5'4".  Weight: 144 lbs.  Watch out for her right and left punches.  She also wields a mean whip.
 

ABOBO
Height 6'3".  Weight: 260 lbs.  A Middle Boss.  He likes to throw and slap people around.
NOTE: In the Game Boy version, Abobo has a new move similar to the one Burnov uses in Double Dragon II where he grabs Billy by the head and punches him in the face several times.
 

CHIN TAIMEI
Height: 5'6".  Weight: 152 lbs.  Another middle boss and a Karate master.  He can do severe damages with his bare hands.  He also throws knives once in a while.
NOTE: Chin Taimei gets a new Rolling Kick attack in the GB version.  Chin Taimei was originally a character created exclusively for the NES/Famicom version, in which he replaces Jeff, a head-swapped version of Billy and Jimmy from the arcade version.
 

WILLY
Height 6'.  Weight: 205 lbs.  The Big Boss of the Black Warriors.  Armed with a machine gun and not afraid to use it.
