Is branding really important?

I am trying to work on the design of my web platform and I have a question. Why does brand image matter? It seems like my startup’s getting lost in the noise.

I once thought branding was just logos. Then I read this guide on the importance of brand image after a failed launch. It taught me how consistency (colors, tone, even email signatures) builds trust. Now we’re the ‘reliable’ option in a sea of flashy competitors. Lesson: Your brand is your reputation, curate it. I don’t want to sound condescending here, just sharing my personal experiences, if you don’t mind.
