Setting a Password for Your Linksys RE7000

Set a good password for your Linksys RE7000 range extender for security protection on the extended Wi-Fi network. During the Linksys RE7000 setup process, either by WPS or through the web interface, normally on 192.168.1.1, you are asked to set a new password; choose a more sophisticated one, one that contains a mix of both lowercase and uppercase letters, as well as numbers, and symbols; it is rather risky to use birth dates or common names. If you have already configured your RE7000 and wish to change the password, you can access the settings of the extender through a web browser. You can navigate to the wireless security section and update the password. A good password is necessary to prevent unauthorized access to your extended network and ensure that your data and devices connected to it are safe.
