Howdy, man! It's been a while! Too long. It's great to see the site still around. Sad news about Double Dragon on the 360. I never did get the full version but I still have the trial on my HD. Wished I had now (what kind of fan was I?! Must admit though... wasn't keen on those new graphics). Anyway,...

That is interesting. You don't expect to see old publishers return, especially (fairly) obscure ones such as Tradewest.

Who holds the rights to Double Dragon now and how do we buy it? ;)

A quick search on youtube reveals far more fan games / mods than I ever thought. You'll have to make a post explaining how to run them on a DC as well as a PC (my DC is currently gathering dust and it would be great to have an excuse to start it up again). Can't say I've heard of the game in questio...

Double Dragon was out on XBox Live up until quite recently (but I haven't checked this myself). I wouldn't say it was much improved either; it's just the original arcade emulated with a few extra options. I have the trial version and there's an option to keep or ditch the tinkered graphics, which re...

Gradius Rebirth is alright but how I long for a proper sequel to Gradius V. Maybe some day soon...

Haven't seen these but may have a look if I have some time.

I was expecting the worst but animation looks great. Love the constant motion and the models kinda remind me of the later Fire Pro Wrestling games. Proof that 2D still has what it takes.

Makes sense. I had no idea many NES games were developed at the same time.

Your information is fascinating and I've missed it to be honest!

Can't say I recognise the NES version as the original, most recognisable or the best. Methinks it's a US / NES fandom thing... I'm going with the first coin-op.

Just picked up one of these... Basically it's an open source handheld with a great little screen and built in emulators. Impressive little thing to say the least. I haven't updated any of the firmware / software or anything yet (the community is thriving and updat...
