Do you have any new enemy sprites to post?

In the meantime, you can check out PrimeOp's Capcom-style Double Dragon sprites, at http://scrollboss.illmosis.net/customsprites.php?g=technos

Is he working on this project? Those Billy and Jimmy sprites look very similar to his.

It's still bizzare seeing "street fighter" style DD characters... the actual tournament fighter DD characters look better.

I respectfully disagree. Not trying to get in a fight here, but I beg to differ. And here's why:

I gave my opinions on the Neo Geo character designs - and the reasoning behind them - a while back, in this older thread.

The short version is, I feel that ONLY Burnov was any good. And, I guess, Billy and Jimmy's Dragon mode - it should have been standard (it has the right colouring, and actually looks like their movie robes; Not that the movie was any good, but since the game is supposed to tie into it, there's at least some consistency, there). Nobody else really looks right.

Whereas the custom sprites I see all over the net actually look like the DD characters they are supposed to be (not just the PrimeOp ones I linked. Take a look at City Hunter's post, in this thread.). Regarding the ones I linked, I personally prefer the KOF ones over the Capcom ones - less cartoony and more gritty. But you don't need to be told that the cartoony Jimmy is Jimmy - he still looks like Jimmy. Whereas in DD Neo Geo, the dude in orange could be anybody, without the name label.
