Primarily it was based on looks. Second, how accessible the actors were, 3rd, passion... everyone I cast has a passion for acting and could benefit from this project. I wanted to cast people who will mutually benefit from the completion of the project. It's hard to find actors who can stay dedicated long enough to the complete a film project.
I have to say I am very fortunate to have cross paths with this cast and crew. We just uploaded some pictures of the characters on our Facebook
I think they whole cast looks great. I don't know I feel like the character that plays Jimmy seems more like Billy's attributes and vice-versa. Still, they both seems to be great for either part. Because of your short film, I think now would be a good time to start another major topic about Double Dragon in another thread. I would love to see your opinions on the topic.
It's funny you should say that lol some versions of double dragon the blonde is wearing blue and the others it's the blonde in red we decided to go with this set up for no particular reason yeah by all means I'd love to check out your script.
I'm curious- will the final film ultimately be marketed commercially? Is a profit feasible considering your costs? Or are you doing this solely out of love for Double Dragon? The elaborate sets and top tier talents don't come cheap, I'm sure
We don't plan to market it other than Facebook and youtube. The project is a passion project both for the game and film making. I do plan on entering it in some fan film festivals though.
That sounds awesome. I will post my topic probably this weekend. Still I think we are all excited for this film. Anything is better than the movie. Lol
