By maintaining the data files, you mean hosting the mod, correct? If so, then I will do that.

If you mean something else entirely, please explain.

The MOD mantainer would have to:

1) Create a simple web page for the MOD with download links for the MOD and the engine (at my page), and of course, host the MOD files.

2) Mantain the MOD, essentially editing and updating the sprites, and making these updates available in the page, with version numbers.

3) It would be awesome if the mantainer could also learn the structure of the data files: maps, level events, enemies placement, enemy data... Of course I would help with that.

I'll even lower my conditions, if someone does 1 and 2, I will temporarily do 3. But no new features from me, only changes to fix bugs or improve gameplay.

By improving the mod, that would entail new features.

Well ladies and gentlemen of the Double Dragon Dojo forums there you have it.

DDF is done. Can't fault me for trying to bring it back.

So, with that said:

If there happens to be anybody who haunts these forums who has a knack for game coding and wants to work on a Technos/Double Dragon/kunio inspired game, feel free to send me a pm.

I have a lot of creative, and interesting ideas that I need someone to help me translate into code. I am very well apt in spriting, illustration, animation, creating stages, you name it. I have the whole artistic and creative spectrum for this type of project covered.

I am willing to put in a lot of time and effort, and am looking for like minded individuals willing to do the same. As epic as SORR is, it is only a pretender to the beat 'em up throne. A real in-depth technos inspired combat system, including a diverse array of enemies mixed with dynamic stages and platforming elements belongs on top!

Anyone who is interested, hit me up.

I am only guilty of trying to make this game the best it could be by any means necessary, and by offering to help in any way that I could.

You simply are uninterested in going that far.

I know your intentions are the best, and I think you are a talented artist.

But we have to be realistic.

My mission here is complete, and I'm satisfied with the result.

DDF doesn't work for me, the game crashes before the first level starts or it causes my computer to become a small resolution with odd colors making me have to restart. DDF Launcher also made the computer restart. Nothing's damaged I just found it odd, either way the game won't run any further than cutscenes and character select.

DDF is a 2d game, but it uses Direct3D to render. So it requires a good video card from NVIDIA or ATI/AMD.
Anyway, DDF is just a program, and a program shouldn't cause a system to reboot unless there's something really bad happening (corrupted installation of windows, DirectX or the graphic drivers, damaged RAM or video card...)
Can you post your system specs?
