I dropped by just to share this.

Gorges Florent, who has previously interviewed Yoshihisa Kishimoto in person for Pix 'nLove and Nolife, has written an authorized biography of Kishimoto's life and career that will be published by Editions Pix 'n Love. No date has been announced for its release, but Florent has posted a few samples of the work he has done on his blog.

Been busy with my personal life to be honest, but I will contribute a few things I've found lately.

Pix'n Love has just announced that, in addition to the standard release of the book, there will also be a limited-edition that comes with a personally-autographed card signed by Kishimoto himself (limited to 600 copies), a DVD of the Enter the Double Dragon special and a CD containing music from Renegade and the first two Double Dragon games.

Here's Florent's latest blog post, which contains a video of Kishimoto signing out the cards for the limited edition of the book.

New samples pages have also been uploaded in the link I've posted on the previous reply. In one of the pages Kishimoto talks about the Master System version of the first game (he didn't like it) among other home versions.

There's a possibility that there might be an English version as well according to Kishimoto's Twitter.

There's a documentary? Whoah. I hope Enter the Double Dragon gets subtitled and put online!
I want this so bad(as much as I love the Retrogamer articles over the years on DD), but it pains me to know
I wouldn't understand a lick of it. Is there really that many French speaking Double Dragon series fans? Seems an English version would sell more.

Does anyone know if there was merchandise/promo items in the last decade or so that featured a nostalgia theme like this for DD?

Loving this...

I don't even recall promo stuff for DDA

Yes there is  Japan culture (video games included) is very estimated in France. France is, for example, the secondary market for mangas.

The author is french and so we are very lucky to have a lot of great book in French :D We usually have everything in english, especially during the 80s-90s ... as the DD games.
