Re: RetroGamer #103: The Making of Double Dragon

Every game in the series was mentioned in the article but Kishimoto himself only really talks about Renegade & Double Dragon and his iOS game.

The making of Double Dragon

This months Retro Gamer (issue 103) has a feature called The Making Of Double Dragon and they talk to Yoshihisa Kishimoto about the game. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v661/Swainy_boy/152f615b.jpg The ZX Spectrum remake that I have been working on gets a nice mention but there are a few other bi...

Re: Double Dragon 128k - The graphics

That music is still sensationally impressive! As somebody says, you can see and hear easy comparisons to the Game Boy. I actually like that scrolling style too meaning that the game will never get jerky (the original port was of course, jerk city). But the most impressive thing is how smooth and pr...

Re: Double Dragon Neon

There's no doubting that there are some nice ideas and it shows some promise, I just don't like the idea of taking the guys out of their natural environment. The space thing really bugs me, hopefully the gameplay will still be good.

Re: Double Dragon 128k - The graphics

Guy's, seeing as it was the ZX Spectrum's 30th Birtday yesterday I thought I should give you guys an update. Steve Halfpenny is already aware of this but I now have a new coder on board. The big news is this guy done some real classic arcade conversions back in the day! His name is Jim Bagley and he...

Re: What would like to see in a new Double Dragon game?

Personally I'd love to be involved with another Double Dragon games design. Double Dragon Neon look's to me as it's going to be a missed opportunity to bring the franchise back to the masses. There looks to be some good idea's in there but from what I've just seen on the latest fooatge, it's not the...

Re: Double Dragon Neon

I've got to agree but I wasn't impressed with the iphone game either. I really do not like the direction that these teams keep taking the franchise. The thing that I loved about the original game was that it wasn't too wacky, it was fairly realistic for its time... Well, as far as beat em ups go :)

Re: Commodore 64 Ocean port

It certainly had a limited release in the UK, where I think it was only made available via mail order if my memory serves. As to how many copies were sold/released I doubt if Ocean software even knew.
