Re: Unproduced Double Dragon TV pilot
Popular games from the 80s that are still in the mainstream never really went away (Mario, etc). I too cannot think of a real return that did really well (I'm sure there is some argument for SF4 but it has always had its fans desperately awaiting the next installment and the lengthy period without a...

Re: Observation about DD on XBox Live
i think it was stupid how they turned Mike's Nunchucks into a grappling hook, because it was too violent. I mean swords and sai aren't violent but nunchucks are? I mean give a pissed off kid a nunchuck, they'll most likely won't be able to do anything...except hurt themselves This is true. I don't ...

Re: Observation about DD on XBox Live

Re: Double Dragon 128k - The graphics
That last shot looks great. I think the trick is (or was) to make the game suited to the Spectrum. Some arcade conversions did this (Renegade) whilst (most) others did the opposite and tried to cram the arcade into the Speccy, usually meaning that the gameplay suffered and was sluggish (Final Fight)...

Re: Double Dragon 128k - The graphics
Said it before and I'll say it again, that recreation of the main theme sounds amazing. Probably better than any recreation on the Spectrum.

Find of the day... (DD arcade review from back in the day!)
Amongst a random search for old reviews, I found this and it made me smile...

Commodore User give the DD arcade machine top marks from way back in August 1987. Reminds me of how I felt the first time I played the game.

Re: Find of the day... (DD arcade review from back in the day!)
I was a bit confused in regards to their names until I realised the Bruce Lee link much later (the whole "Lee" thing didn't occur to me till later. Seems blindingly obvious now!). Now I couldn't imagine them and the Shadow lot being called anything else.
