Oh sure. I wouldn't diss owning the real thing.
But unlike many of the machines that have came before it, this is already gathering a great online community with emulators very close to the real things indeed and getting better every day. Haven't tried playing NES games on it yet mind.

Re: Double Dragon prototypes
Do you think it was ever planned for the game to be two players or a straight port (I see the latter as more doubtful as most NES games seemed to be "inspired" by rather than exact copies. Never understood that personally).

Double Dragon 2600 in the latest edition of GamesTM magazine
Saw this yesterday in the newsagents... In the latest version of GamesTM they slate the 2600 port of Double Dragon in one of their regular features. Nothing of note is said really other than they think that the Megadrive / Genesis version is good (yeah, whatever...).

Re: Double Dragon 2600 in the latest edition of GamesTM magazine
The 2600 had a bit of a comeback in the mid - late 80s though, didn't it? They released that modified 2600 and suddenly Atari released a few new titles too (such as Pac-Man Jr, which isn't bad at all). So grabbing the rights may not have been such a bad idea. Of course, a game like Double Dragon may...

Interesting that... well, I'll let you read it yourself if you haven't already. Anyway, I prefer the colour v...

They certainly are. River City Ransom and Renegade are Westernised versions of Kunio-Kun games.

This could be a pretty big deal actually. I haven't bothered with my DS for a long time but I'd probably pick this up. A new DD could follow...
