Re: 10 Year Anniversary of this website

I'd also be up for that. It'd be fun to answer, and interesting to see other people's responses.

Are you going to post the questions here, or in a new topic?

And if it's in the forums, how are the answers going to be collected, without us seeing each others?

Re: hello folks

Excellent question! For starters, I think we all agree that she gets killed, at the beginning of DD II. But what happens at the end? The arcade ending is a bit ambiguous - I'd say she was only avenged, and definitely dead in that one. Most ports share this ending on-screen, but have a storyline in t...

Re: hello folks

Thanks, I'll definitely be checking those out! You're right, ROTD is not DD canon - it revolves around Billy and Jimmy Lewis, who are different characters from the Lee brothers (just as Mariah is different from Marian). Even if ROTD had been an official DD game, it would have been a sequel to DD Neo...

Re: so which one is bimmy?

Makes sense, and an interesting read. I likes me a good video game musing! I'm totally with you, on Billy being blonde and Jimmy having brown hair. Notably, that's the way it is in the Neo Geo game, and its pseudo-follow-up. My thinking is that Billy was given dark hair in the NES game, to make him ...

Re: so which one is bimmy?

You're right about DD II arcade. In fact, I just noticed that despite the sprites' in-game hair colours, in the ending, Jimmy's crew cut is blonde, and Billy's mullet is ... well, it's at least darker, although it still looks kinda blonde-ish (much like BT/DD!). As for RotD, it does stick relatively...

Re: Double Dragon Remake Coming to iPhone and iPod Touch

Once again, fantastic posts, Rockman! I agree with mechapop about a couple of things: The non-playables and absent classic characters. a) Non-playables: I was wondering about those laughing bikers, in the background of level 1. I kept thinking they would do the Capcom thing, and step out of the back...

Re: Double Dragon Remake Coming to iPhone and iPod Touch

You talking DD3 NES or Arcade? Well, I was mostly talking about the arcade game. In particular, Kent, with his blue jeans, white T-shirt, and sunglasses, resembles the thin thugs in arcade DD3 mission 1, with their blue jeans, white T-shirts, and sunglasses. I also referred to Li (whom Harry should...

Are you referring to Cody? Or is there another Easter Egg, which I missed?

Re: What would like to see in a new Double Dragon game?

I think Jeff should be a part of the Dragons during the younger years. That actually sounds similar to Duke's original concept. You can read about it, including some planned dialogue between Duke and Billy, at the Dojo's "Return of/Super Double Dragon: The True Story" page. Still, here's ...

Re: Another DD fangame

Agreed.

The detail you've put into those backgrounds really looks like an authentic NES conversion of the arcade game.
