Re: Tradewest is back
Its been awhile since I last posted here. Anyway, just to clarify DojoMaster's post, Aksys has absolutely nothing to do with Million outside of localizing their titles. However, Aksys does have a close relationship with Arc System Works, the Japanese publisher of most of the Kunio-related stuff that...

Double Dragon for Zeebo (new game released in Brazil)
A few months ago, they released a new Double Dragon game for the Zeebo, which is a budget-priced game console released in Brazil that plays downloadable games. Most of the titles released for it are just ports of cellphone games, but the console at least powerful enough to play a somewhat downgraded...

Re: Tradewest is back
Not to my knowledge. They did released Street Challenge a week or so ago though, which means that the remaining titles from Technos' NES catalog left to be released on the Virtual Console are Nintendo World Cup, Super Spike V'Ball, and the two Double Dragon sequels.

Yoshihisa Kishimoto interview in French magazine
A French video game fanzine called "Pix 'n Love" managed to get in touch with Yoshihisa Kishimoto for a two-part interview in issue 7 and 8 of their publication. In the first part of the interview, he talks about his work on Renegade and Double Dragon, while the second part seems to be abo...

Double Dragon III Famicom version script translation
I took the liberty of translating the script for the Japanese Famicom of Double Dragon III: The Rosetta Stone. As some of you might already know, the NES version of Double Dragon III underwent a massive script rewrite for its English localization in what seems to be an attempt to make the plot a bit...

Re: Double Dragon III Famicom version script translation
I would also like to add my thanks for the translation. And I agree that niether version of DD III's storyline is that great. This is because they're both based on East Tech's arcade perversion. The Neo-Black Warriors only appeared in the first level, and the Jim's Revenge sub-plot should have been...

Double Dragon Advance character profiles
I remember back when I translated Muneki Ebinuma's commentary on Double Dragon Advance, I asked Game Kommander to scan the character profiles from the Japanese version's manual. I completely forgot about it until recently, so I took the liberty of translating them and posting them here. The American...

Combatribes coming to the Virtual Console
Apparently Combatribes has been rated by ESRB for an upcoming Virtual Console release. I'm guessing this will most likely be a reissue of the SNES version, even though the Virtual Console has been getting arcade games as well recently. I don't get why they're releasing this before Double Dragon II (...

Re: Combatribes coming to the Virtual Console
Combatribes plays more like an early 90's remake of Renegade than a Double Dragon game, although the main character do resemble beefcake versions of Billy and Jimmy. It has quite a few amusing moves like smashing your enemy's head into the pavement or swing them around by grabbing their legs, but th...

Re: Double Dragon Advance character profiles
I think I might rewrite some of the older character description pages in the future if I get the time. Reading some of them now, I made a couple of mistakes here and there. Not to mention I have stumbled onto a couple of Japanese pamphlet guides to the first two Famicom games, which includes move li...
