Re: Nostalga with video games

I hated the N64 graphics, and thankfully never owned that system. To me 16-bit still looks amazing and ages well(such as many SNES games, like Super R-Type_ I feel immensely grateful to have been old enough to have enjoyed the full splendor of early to late 80's arcade splendor. I enjoyed the early ...

Re: opinions about AVGN's DD3 review?

To me DD3 for the Nes is the ONLY real "Double Dragon III" game. I dont even acknowledge the existence of the arcade, Genesis or GB version(much like Strider fans do not acknowledge "Strider Returns") It is damn hard, even when I was a more seasoned NES player when it came out. B...

Re: Double Dragon Zeebo!

I haven't played DDA since 2003; for some reason there was something about it that bugged me...it couldn't have been what I perceived to be muddier almost muted colors and graphics. But I liked how it was essentially a "remixed" game made a bit longer. Unlike DD1 and DD2, it wasn't one lon...

Re: Double Dragon Zeebo!

Well unfortunately there is NO place to see any of the new characters names! Since the game's are download only they dont come with manuals and the small "how to play" that they have in the game just explains the games mechanics (and even then they're in Portuguese lol) . So no luck there...

Re: Double Dragon Zeebo!

To be honest, at the moment, most of my complaints stem from things that you were able to do in Double Dragon advance that you can't do here. But mostly it comes from moves or combos/juggles working a certain way and not from the actual programming being bad so I don't really think they're too vali...

Re: Double Dragon Zeebo!

Yes I know there is already a topic for this, but I figured I would make a brand new one so that I can tell people that I've actually got my hands on a zeebo and this game! I had to go through quite a bit to get my hands on it (using brazillian version of Ebay and having more then a few conversatio...

Re: Technos' WrestleFest returns...

Gahhhh...they use the crappy look of those "click here" banner flash "games" you see on websites of questionable repute. Why oh why? They shoulda used the look of the original. I HATE how "HD" games soften the look of arcade pixels(Final Fight xbox, Super Street Fighter...

Re: Double Dragon II: Wanderer of the Dragons Cyclone Xbox36

Yeah, no thanks. Anyone remember The Bouncer from ten years ago which had way better graphics? This style isn't too far removed from 1995's Dynamite Cop. Anyone remember the 2003 3d side brawler called "Demolish Fist"? That looked way better than this. Why can't a company make an ALL NEW D...

Re: Double Dragon Remake Coming to iPhone and iPod Touch

Wow, only $4 bucks? My friend and I just had to pay $15 for the new Contra game(Hard Corps Uprising) which is also a digital download. Also didn't know this would be out this early in March, nice! The exp+ move system is a nice touch, didn't know they'd be going with that. I had a feeling though, l...

Re: Double Dragon is covered in the next Retro Gamer...

That was a good feature on Double Dragon(thanfully my Barnes and Noble and Fry's Electronics gets every issue of Retro Gamer) however...I recall an even BETTER feature on Double Dragon in Retro Gamer a few years ago, which covered like 8-10 pages of every single game, sequel and port. Anyone know wh...
