Re: Article for the 10th Year Anniversary of the Dojo!

It was 1987,I was barely 5 years old at the time.I had a Nintendo which was rare amongst my friends. This was all back when 711 always had 2 arcade cabinets and the ones at the time was slam masters and operation wolf.My older brother and I would spent hours trying to beat operation wolf then walk h...

After seeing this...

(River City Rampage/Kunnio playset with figures)

...it made me think how utterly amazing figures/playset based on Double Dragon 1 and 2 would be. I was sooooo disappointed with the 1993 cartoon and 1994 film, and the figures just never felt Double Dragon-y to me.

Re: Double Dragon prototypes

There's no 2-players mode in the beta as far as I know. From my understanding, the reason why most NES versions of most arcade games were different is because they were often made at the same time as the arcade versions and by different teams. I know the NES version of DD III was made at the same t...

Re: Double Dragon III Famicom version script translation

I would also like to add my thanks for the translation. And I agree that niether version of DD III's storyline is that great. This is because they're both based on East Tech's arcade perversion. The Neo-Black Warriors only appeared in the first level, and the Jim's Revenge sub-plot should have been...

Re: Double Dragon is covered in the next Retro Gamer...

You mean this one? m Yesssss! That be the one! I enjoyed the latest DD feature in retro, but this was the one that really blew my argyle socks off. Although they don't mention it, I wonder if there had been talks/plans for any side scrolling DD games after Super Double Dragon. Or if there had been ...

Re: Double Dragon Forever is over (bad news)

In a crazy way, maybe this Brizo would be easier to work with than a monolithic juggernaut like Capcom or Sega? There MUST be some people who work at serious indie developers with publishing clout that are DD fans, and could propose something. Imagine how fun it'd be to work on the first new DD seq...

Oh man, I am loving this! I dig how they did a spoof of the 1988 Ninja Gaiden arcade continue screen, so obscure! cant wait to play this

Re: Article for the 10th Year Anniversary of the Dojo!

Sooo loving this! m Thanks for putting this up. This is certainly a fun read, and I LOVE how you guys peppered it with some of the Japanese NES character artwork. When I first saw that style in the may 1988 Nintendo Fun Club issue, I immediately loved it. I believe the side scrolling Tiger game from...

Re: Double Dragon II: Wanderer of the Dragons Cyclone Xbox36

Steve, are you going to download it? If so, want to do a review? By the way, isn't there an older game that we haven't reviewed? I think a version of Double Dragon III for the Amiga. I think there's also a cell phone game from 2004 or something. If I recall correctly, there were two separate cell p...
