Re: Hey guys! NES - DD3 - Sacred Stones help
I discovered the "trick" by accident as well. You can deflect projectile weapons (like the Italian fighters' spears) with your kicks by using either Lee brother or Chin (you can use the nunchucks as well). Sometimes when you deflect a weapon, it will drop to the ground and stay there for a...

Re: Mark III version of Double Dragon
Hmmm, should we post a Japanese story page like we did with the arcade game? Sure, why not. Talking about box scans, I had seen that page before that you linked, but I can't seem to find a scan of the back of the box. I couldn't find cover scans of the boxes online (and I don't have a scanner with ...

Re: Mark III version of Double Dragon
My translation of the Mark III manual. Story New York, 199X. A city ruled by violence after the Nuclear War, where politics and law no longer mattered. It has reached the point where people formed gangs in order to survive. On the outskirts of the city lived twin brothers named Jimmy and Billy Lee. ...

Re: Mark III version of Double Dragon
Thanks for posting that. Hey, did you catch that crazy crap we posted about the Genesis game's storyline? The copywriter obviously used the NES version's manual as his main reference (like most of the other licensed ports did), yet he didn't get the memo to ignore the part where the hero's twin bro...

Mark III version of Double Dragon
Found box and manual scans of the Sega Mark III (Japanese counterpart of the Master System) version of Double Dragon on SMS Power. m The actual Mark III game itself is identical to the overseas Master System releases (to the point that all versions are compatible with the FM Sound module, an add-on ...

Pix 'n Love to publish authorized Kishimoto biography
I dropped by just to share this. Gorges Florent, who has previously interviewed Yoshihisa Kishimoto in person for Pix 'nLove and Nolife, has written an authorized biography of Kishimoto's life and career that will be published by Editions Pix 'n Love. No date has been announced for its release, but ...

Re: Technos' WrestleFest returns...
It seems more like a new game trying to imitate the style of the Wrestlefest arcade game than an actual port or remake. Million isn't even mentioned on the copyrights (not that they need to, since the Wrestlefest trademark isn't even theirs).

Re: Kishimoto interview in Nolife (French TV)
It's from a Double Dragon special that aired last November on Nolife (a French TV channel about "geek culture"). You can see the special on that page, but unfortunately you need to be a subscriber to see the full video (which costs 3 euros per months).

Re: Machines that Double Dragon never appeared on...
(random thought - did DD ever appear on any of the Japanese computers?). Now for the not so obvious... No. Double Dragon only came out for the following platforms in Japan. Arcade (I, II, III, Neo-Geo) Family Computer (I, II, III) Game Boy (I only, II was actually a Kunio-kun game) Super Famicom (R...
