Just fired up the SMS DD1...why did I ever sing its praises? Good lord that game is glitchy. Like...wow. The bad guys flicker on and off most of the game. How was this ever acceptable?

Is 1 player for the same reason that renegade on arcade and final fight on super nes are 1 player: system limitations. Even mighty final fight is 1 player. Like seriously, has any programmer or exec ever mentioned why they made it one player? It's not like the system couldn't do 2 player. Even in 1...

I was going through old magazines from 1988 and they sure tried to advertise the Tradewest "Double Dragon" on the NES as 2 player like the arcade game. "You'll never have to drop another quarter!" The "fierce two player action comes home!" Even an (allegedly) hands on p...

I always suspected the look of SDD was partially based on the color pallette/look of Streets of Rage

So any chance the team who made the Brazillian DD/DDiphone might make a sequel? Or were sales just that lackluster? My one regret is that you have to use the digital controls of a smart phone(Ive never been much of a smartphone gamer...talk about finger screen burn) I wish that they coulda released ...

Oh an SNK styled DD would look amazing. I actually like that look more than the cel shaded and cluttered Arc Systems BLAZBLUE type of style. It's funny...Taito released the DD games in America. Technos Japan had some third party make DD3 in 1990 completely based off of Konami's 1989 Crime Fighters i...

Oh to this day I cant even come close to completing DDIII for the NES http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMg6_IXCjo4 I kind of just put DDIII out of my mind entirely(that and "DDV") Super DD was easy, but was verrrry slow. I know DD1 and DD2 are slow moving, but there was something about the m...

Well, I meant more sprite-ish even though there's polygons(like Hardcorps Rising) But I see what you mean. I think there is a difference between a side scrolling polygon brawler and a 3d one. 3D to me would be the Tekken side games, Fighting Force(which somehow I really liked) Dynamite Deka(Die Hard...

It's new, with updates flowing. I agree about those games you mentioned, particularly Narc. Narc actually struck me as Double Dragon with guns! Besides, Max Force and Hit Man actually do something which I could never understand why Billy and Jimmy wouldn't. As I stated in the 10-year anniversary ar...
